 The applications are mostly created on the principle of multilayer architecture:

-Presentation layer can form both light client-web interface of standard browser, so heavy client-Java application, applet etc.

-Application tier can be programs that work in an application server environment

-The database layer is implemented using servers with standardized access via ODBC/JDBC, or you can also use the native access resources of the desired database server
